Caring for your cushions and inners

All our cushion inners are feather filled and you can purchase these separately from the cushion cover or purchase your own if you prefer. All cushion covers, irrespective of their inner, require care and attention to ensure long life and we have provided some guidance below for your consideration. It is important to note that the advice below is not definitive but rather a guide to assist you.  The composition of fabrics will vary and therefore may react differently to things like humidity and sunlight and we cannot be held responsible where the fabric has reacted negatively.  Where we have provided you with the name of the fabric manufacturer i.e. Romo, Designers Guild, Linwood etc, you should review the Company specific guidelines on their own website as this will detail clearly the care instructions of that specific fabric.

General Maintenance Instructions

To help prolong the life of your cushions and pads, we advise the following:

Care

  • Cushions filled with feathers should be plumped up and reversed regularly in order to preserve their softness and suppleness.

  • Non-reversible cushions should have their feather inner turned inside the cover.

  • We would not recommend washing by machine and if required, we would suggest exploring Dry Cleaning and in this case, you should be guided by the experts at your Dry Cleaning company.

  • We cannot accept any responsibility for normal ‘wear and tear’ or fading which may occur if the cushion is placing in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time.
